Are you confused, concerned or disturbed by the toxic things some Christians (and even Christian leaders) are saying? It’s upsetting to watch people being led into doctrines of faith that (seem) to teach fear and anger, while we know that Jesus' message of Peace works toward the opposite of these teachings. As we start the new year, we open the Book of Jude, who had the SAME EXACT concerns for believers in his time, as some people were trying to use the faith to teach anger, obtain power and manipulate with fear. Come hear Jude’s message for us, which lines up (remarkably well) with hit Beatles songs! See you Sunday! Worship at 8:30am & 10:30am !

"Help!"- Jude 1:1-4
The opening of this letter from Jude explains the same struggles we are having in our time, with believers who seem to have gotten this whole faith- BACKWARDS! Jesus never used fear or hate to manipulate believers. Jesus didn't exclude people or force judgements on others! What is going on! Come hear the answers! |

"Don't Let Me Down"- Jude 1:5-9
Jude talks about these confused believers and how they are rejecting God's authority for their own benefit. He then rattles off several Biblical examples (in fast succession) of other people who had done the same thing and met with terrible consequences. He points out that these attitudes really can disappoint God. |

"I Feel Fine"- Jude 1:10-13
The next list Jude gives us are more Biblical examples of people who irritate God (this group specifically) by making OTHER believers follow THEM into misplaced faith! This especially irritates God, because it multiplies the problems and confusion. It not only creates the opposite of Jesus' teachings (by using fear, judgement and hate), but it also teaches ignorance and intolerance. |

"Let It Be"- Jude 1:14-19
Judah concludes his fears about these dangerous teachings- with several Old and New Testament warnings from times this nonsense has happened before, including Jesus' own warning about the Pharisees and Sadducees of His time, who were doing the same thing! Jude reminds us (clearly) that while this sort of misplaced faith isn't anything new, it can be very dangerous. The answer- leave the rule writing to God. Let it be! |

"All You Need Is Love"- Jude 1:20-23
The conclusion to this one chapter Book of Jude, is a summary of Jude's concerns and a clear answer of what we need to do. We need to lead with the truth that our Scriptures teach forgiveness, acceptance, love, non-judgement and peace. You are either a follower of Jesus- and you live in that love- or you reject it. To live in hate, fear and judgement of others is NOT following Christ. All You Need Is Love! |
